Hi everyone and thanks for joining me today!
I wanted to apologize to all those of you who had been coming to share your awesome kid posts or perhaps visiting to find some great ideas for activities to do with your own kids. I haven't posted my linky this past month because I went through a bad bout with my depression. During this time my blog wasn't my priority and I had to take a break. 
But I'm back and feeling better now and hope you'll come back too :)

I'm a homeschooling mom of two girls ages 5 and 10 and run a small home day care for 4 precious little ones, ages 1 to 3. I'm always on the lookout for more craft and recipe ideas, free printables, lessons, experiments, and fun activities to do with the kids.

Make Healthy and Delicious #SilkSmoothies Frozen Pops for the Kids this Summer! {Contest}

It was the last day of school today for the little ones and for many families it's the day that truly signifies the beginning of summer. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately and we've been spending lots of time outside. The kids are so happy to be out with the other kids on the street, riding bikes, rollerblading, skipping rope, and all that fun stuff.

With all that physical exercise the kids get hot pretty quickly and are always asking for a cool treat. Needless to say we've been going through a lot of freezies lately! But freezies are full of sugar and empty calories. Surely there's a better solution. My girls love having smoothies for breakfast, so I thought why not take these delicious and super nutritious smoothies and turn them into a frozen summer treat!

Silk Almond Smoothie Pops

I went super simple with our smoothie pops. I simply added to my Vita Mix blender, 1 banana, 8 strawberries, and a 1/2 cup of Silk Almond. If you want, you can had a few drops of vanilla and sweetener of your choice like honey. You can also find great smoothie recipes and inspiration for your own Smoothie Pops at

We're very excited to be going strawberry picking next weekend for the very first time. So you can be sure that we'll be making lots of delicious smoothies and smoothie pops with our freshly picked strawberries. Take advantage of whatever is in season throughout the year. The recipe for the Mango Lassi Smoothie on the website sounds absolutely delicious! I can't wait to try that one out.
