Twirl. Turning Heads, Shaping Minds. Debut Collection of Kids Books from Chronicle Books' New Publishing line! {Giveaway}

*I received copies of the following books in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own*

Children's books have sure come a long way since I was a little one. Ever more engaging and unique, kids can't help but be attracted to them, encouraging a love for reading. A perfect example is the debut collection of books from Chronicle Books' new publishing line, Twirl.

Twirl. Turning Heads, Shaping Minds.

The 5 debut books from the Twirl line are fantastic! My girls and the 4 little ones in my home daycare absolutely love them! Take a closer look at each of the books we were given the opportunity to review.

The Ultimate Book of Vehicles
At first glance some may be quick to judge that this book is best suited for little boys. But they would be wrong! Both my girls LOVE this book and so do I. So many different vehicles in all sorts of shapes and sizes. From a bicycle, a rickshaw and a pooper scooper scooter from France to a cruise ferry, jumbo jet, and rocket launcher. This book has got it all! The large pages of this book feature colourful detailed illustration of just about every vehicle you could ever imagine and then some! But that's not the best part. My kids were mesmerized  with the 60+ movable parts. There are lots of flaps, popups, pull-tabs, and rotating wheels to bring the various vehicles to life. Turn the wheel to mix the cement in the cement truck or change the attachments on the wheel excavator. Lift the flaps to discover the insides of a garbage truck, a paramedic ambulance, a livestock hauler, and a fish factory ship. You can slide up and down the access panels on the side of a pumper truck and slide the construction worker up the ladder into the cab of a large crane. A pop up even launches a rocket into space. This book is seriously cool! Seriously!

Do your kids love playing hide-and-seek? I know mine do. That's probably why they love this book so much. With just a few simple twists and turns  everyday objects reveal adorable creatures. A man with a top hat reveals a hidden little bird when the hat it turned upside down. A hot air balloon transforms into a drum-playing rabbit. Then there is the teapot that turns into an elephant, the clock that turns onto an owl, and more!

I also love the rhyming verses. I've always loved books that rhyme. My mom read them to me all the time when I was a girl and I love reading them to my own girls.

Jojo's First Word Book
Jojo's First Word Book is an absolutely adorable book for kids ages 18 month and up. It's bright and colourful and even comes with a neat little carrying handle. Jojo and his sister Lulu are sure to be your toddler's new best friends going wherever they go. I love the tabs on the side that little ones can use to  easily flip through to the different sections of the book. First discover more about Jojo and Lulu and their family. Learn the different body parts like their ears, fingers, and toes. Discover their moods, and the clothes they wear. Then move on to their home, what they love to do when they are out and about, and meet some of their animal friends. I love the sturdiness of this book that is perfect for toddlers and I have no doubt that your little one will be carrying this book wherever he or she goes.

This is a book and game all in one package. What a fun way to learn your colours! The book slips into it's own little pocket with the dominoes are safely stowed away on the other side. Learn the different colours using familiar objects and even discover what you get when you mix colours together. The domino game features colourful sturdy pieces that are perfect for little hands. Your kids will love matching colours and familiar objects in this new twist of a classic game. I'm sure I'll be playing this over and over with the little ones. I always love including fun and games when it comes to teaching and this is absolutely perfect.

A Tree For All Seasons
This book's unique shape grabbed our attention right away. It's adorable and sweet and my favourite out of all the books in this set. Discover all that each season brings within the pages of a tree. Spring brings with it beautiful blossoms, ladybugs, birds and bees. Summer turns the blossoms of spring into delicious red apples. In fall the leaves begin to change colour and fall to the ground. Winter's snow covers the tree's branches and the cycle repeats. Each page features adorable illustrations, simple text, and flaps that reveal little creatures hidden within the tree. Overall this book is a winner in our house. I think your kids will love it too!
