Celebrate March Break with @DKCanada! Fantastic Fun for the Kids #DKMarchBreak

March Break Boutique ~ Save 30%

It's March Break! YAY! Bet your kids are having a great time with a break from school aren't they? We were hoping for a glimpse of spring, instead we got 18cm of snow! UGH! Let me see. What could I do to keep the kids busy this week? I know! Let's get out the books we got from DK Canada's Make Your March Break Great Boutique! I'm sure you know by now that we are huge DK Canada fans in this house. And we LOVE the books we just got to review! Some cooking, some crafting, and some doodling. These are a few of our favourite things :) Now I'm going to have to figure out how to get the kids back in school mode come Monday.

Doodlepedia Animal Antics My 10 year old LOVES to doodle and draw. She often has a book out or pauses the TV when watching a cartoon to copy and draw an animal or cartoon character. I used to do the same thing all the time when I was a kid. When we saw the Doodlepedia books in the boutique we had to get one for sure! We picked Animal Antics because we love animals. This book is so much fun and it's educational too! It combines colouring and doodling fun and cute creatures with amazing animal facts. Did you know that the stone "hammers" that Capuchin Monkeys use can weigh up to 4 lbs, nearly half of their weight? Or that Cuckoo birds trick other birds to raise their young? I'm all about combining fun and play with learning, and this is a great book for both. There are 3 more Doodlepedia books to choose from, Doodlepedia Dinosaurs, Doodlepedia Pretty, and Doodlepedia Wow, and they are only $9.79 ea during this promotion. These books will be great to take with us camping this summer and for long road trips too. LOVE these books!

Mommy & Me Start Cooking My 5 year old daughter LOVES to help me in the kitchen. Whenever it's time to crack an egg, she's there. Whenever it's time to add an ingredient, she's there. And whenever it's time to mix and stir, she's there. I love including her when cooking meals and treats. I love this book because not only does it offer some simple, kid friendly recipes we can make together, but again, it's educational. Each section covers a different ingredient, like eggs, flour, potatoes, and chocolate. First you learn about the ingredient, what it is, where does it come from, or how it's made. Did you know that a chicken starts to lay eggs when she is only 19 weeks old? Then after an intro to each ingredient make a recipe or two using that ingredient. My daughter and I will have LOTS of fun together with this one. Also available is Mommy & Me Craft. Both are only $11.89 for a limited time.

Stitch by Stitch This is a book that the girls and I absolutely LOVE! There are so many fun projects for us to do in this book, 50 crafty ideas to be exact. And oh my goodness, are they adorable! We don't know what to do first. There are adorable little crocheted owls (along with beginner instructions on how to crochet), and super cool knit dolls (along with beginner instructions on how to knit). We can make a Cupcake Bag, Patchwork Balls, decorative Felt Flowers, needlepoint, embroidery and more.  My oldest daughter and I started knitting last year but we hadn't tried crocheting yet. The day we got this book we gave it a try. I actually have my mom's crochet needles that I think she had from before I was born. When I was younger my aunt tried to teach me to crochet but I just couldn't get it and gave up. I'm doing much better this time around. Stitch by Stitch is now $13.29 during this promo.

Looks like fun eh? There are many more books to choose from this March Break Boutique. Check them out today, don't miss these great deals.
