Make perfect Cake Pops in your own home with Babycakes Cake Pop Maker and Recipe Book
{Review and Giveaway}
Cake pops seem to be all the rage these days. The first time I remember seeing them was in a Starbucks of all places. They looked so yummy and the decorations were adorable. My first thought was how could I make these myself at home. I can't remember how much they were charging for them, but surely they would be so much cheaper to make in my own kitchen.
So, not too long ago, I searched the internet for some sort of baking pan or other kitchen appliance that would allow me to make my own cake pops. And that's when I found the Babycakes Cake Pop maker. Perfect! I read online reviews and from what I could tell it was a great product that produced perfect cake pops. And that was it! I had to get one. The great thing is, it's sooo affordable! I'm in Canada and at Amazon.ca it sells for $29.99 and is currently on sale for $19.99. Canadian Tire sells for the same price and twice in the last month or so has also had it on sale for $19.99.
So, now I have my Babycakes Cake Pop Maker. Want to see what we've made so far? I was soooo glad to get the recipe book to review as well because I had NO IDEA how many recipes you can make with this little appliance, like Cappuccino bites, Chicken and Mushroom Phyllo Tarts, and Hoisin-Glazed Turkey Meatballs! So if you were like me and thought the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker was just for making cake pops, you better think again! First up was the cake pops. Can you see from the picture how beautiful and round and cooked to perfection they are? Each batch cooks in 4-6 minutes.
When they are all done and cooled off, add the cake pop sticks and dip into the melted candy coating. (We bought Wilton Candy Melts from Michaels craft store) The decorating ideas are endless really. We made some with sprinkles and some with mini marshmallows to look like popcorn. Sooo cute! The kids had so much fun and so did I :) And by the way, they are soooo delicious! You need major self control not to eat a dozen!

Next we made Banana Bread Scones with Brown Sugar Drizzle. And YUMMY! So good! The drizzle really made them super scrumptious. They look like little doughnut holes from a coffee shop. The kids loved them and had lots of fun helping me make them. Needless to say, they didn't last long.

Last but not least, we made Greek Meatballs. I love how quickly they cooked and with barely any mess. Add some Tzatziki on the side and you've got a delicious appetizer for any party or family gathering. Next time we have company I am absolutely making these! I also made a quick batch of Italian meatballs one night for our spaghetti dinner because the kids were begging for spaghetti and meatballs. And it was another winner!

So...are you drooling yet?
I know you are. I'm completely honest when I say that we absolutely LOVE our Babycakes Cake Pop Maker. It works great, and produces delicious, mouthwatering recipes.
