Super Teacher Worksheets review and giveaway! CAN/US ~ 11/8

Our family LOVES Super Teacher Worksheets!

I've been a stay at home mom for about 9 years now and I have been homeschooling for 5 of those years. Although I'm sure you would agree that as a mom you really start homeschooling the day your child is born. It's such an amazing experience to watch my girls learn and grow year after year. Homeschooling can be a challenge but the rewards are priceless. I love being the one to teach them and share in their joy when they learn something new. My 5 year old is learning to read and when she gets it right she's so excited. It's a proud mommy moment.

I certainly wouldn't consider myself a homeschooling expert (despite having a blog, FB page, etc). I don't know much about all the curriculum programs that are available to homeschoolers. However, I have found workbooks that work well for my girls that teach subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Every homeschool family needs to find what works for them. I do surf the web from time to time looking for  extra activities, projects and worksheets to supplement our program and offer some variety. Last year I discovered Super Teacher Worksheets.

If you are a parent, homeschooler, teacher or even a home daycare provider like myself, you'll love Super Teacher Worksheets. Their website contains thousands of printable materials, including math worksheets, reading comprehension stories, spelling lists, handwriting practice sheets, grammar worksheets, and more, with new worksheets being added every week. I first started using the site as a free user with access to a number of free printables. I really liked what they had to offer and soon after decided to pay to become a member and enjoy full access to all their worksheets. One of the things I love most about Super Teacher Worksheets is that they are so affordable! A full year membership is only $19.95. That's about $1.67 per month. No worries if you have 6 kids. It's one price regardless of how many children in your home will be using the worksheets. Schools can also get a school building site license for $300 that grants unlimited access to all teachers within a single school building.

You really have to take a look at the site to get a full view of what they have to offer. To help my 5 year old with her reading I've been using their Dolch sight words flash cards. They also have word wheels and Bingo cards to make practice more fun. Learning to read is also lots of fun with their Early Reader mini books. This was a great way to get my daughter started with reading because it is super simple and really gave her a lot of confidence. She was super proud she could read a book all by herself and wanted to show off for us all the time. Each consonant has it's own book and each vowel has two, short and long vowel sounds, as well as a few others. For older kids there are tons of printables for spelling, grammer, and reading comprehension.

Another great feature is My Filing Cabinet. There are so many printables to choose from on the website. Here you can quickly access all of your favorite worksheets and custom generated files in one place! What are custom generated files you ask? I love this option! With the worksheet generator you can create your own printable PDF worksheets. Make your own addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division practice pages. They also have puzzle generators for making word scrambles and word search puzzles and more. I created a word search for my daughter with a list of fruits for her to try out. So simple! Your kids will love it too. I also love the quiz generator. I can take what we are learning in our homeschooling and create multiple choice or fill in the blank quiz to help me get an idea what they remember and what we need to work on a little more.

There is lots to discover with Super Teacher Worksheets. It's a great resource,  it's super affordable and helps make learning fun for the kids. Wouldn't you love to try them out?
