Back to School Blast $1,000 Visa Gift Card Giveaway! WW ~ 8/15

Welcome to the Back to School Blast!

Getting your family prepared to head back to school, can be difficult especially
after a long, fun-filled summer. Here are a few of our favorite Back to School Tips to
help you along the way.

1. Back-to-School Supplies Checklist - Backpack? Check. Pencils? Check. Safety scissors? Not Yet. Use the same checklist each time you head out to grab supplies, to keep track of what you have already purchased and the things you still need to. These are also handy if you have more than one child. Simply print 2, 3, 4 list and add their name to the top.

2. Make sure your kids are well rested for school by establishing a bedtime routine. Start your routine a week or two before school starts.

3. Make sure bags are packed the night before, choose clothing and maybe even pack lunches. If you aren't morning people like my family, having everything ready the night before will make the morning much easier.

4. Label all their school supplies, gym clothes and shoes, lunch boxes and other items so they are less likely to lose their stuff and then have to pay to replace them over and over throughout the year.

5. Create a space in the home where it's quiet and well lit to give your kids a place to do their homework without distractions.

The Back to School Blast was organized by Mom Powered Media.

  1. Does it count that I don't have a good back to school tip since I don't have kiddos? Sorry. I could make something up but it wouldn't be from experience. LOL

  2. My best tip is to have everything laying out the night before (homework, clothes, backpacks, etc.)
Pack lunches while the kids are eating breakfast and sit next to backpacks.

  8. My best tip is to make sure that if you're new to a school, you visit before school starts so your child knows exactly where to go on the first day.

  9. My best tip is this: As a parent, YOU need to be excited about & support your children's school. Don't let them hear you bashing on teachers or other school personnel. Be in that school every time there is an opportunity. (open houses, book fairs, extra curricular activities) If YOU'RE involved, your kids will want to be involved.
