Who loves to shop?
Better yet, who loves to shop from home?
Do you love a great deal?
If you answered 'Yes, that's me!' then you should check out Tophatter auctions. I just recently found out about Tophatter and I've been sitting here for over an hour watching all the live auctions currently in progress and it's pretty cool. The animated live virtual auctions make the experience lots of fun. Here's how it works in a nutshell:
The auctioneer runs the auction from the podium, bidders appear in the room and are able to chat with one another while the items are being auctioned off. You can even personalize your avatar. The seller is also present to answer questions and provide more info through the chat.
All the info for the lot is easily accessible on the upper right corner with photos, shipping info and the minimum or current high bid as well as the sellers rating. Want to place a bid? Just click the BID button. One thing that I think is fantastic about these auctions is the fast pace. The lots sell quickly, on average in about 2 minutes. The fast pace keeps it exciting with new items to bid on coming up all the time. I actually just bid on a beautiful ring that sold for just $38. I'm kicking myself for not bidding again. Next time :) There's a pink Coach handbag coming up next. Maybe I'll go for that one!
Update: Just bought my daughter a super cute pink Angry Birds watch for $7. She's going to LOVE it! As soon as the auction ended I was able to complete my payment with Paypal and the item should ship today or tomorrow. It was sooo easy!
Looks like fun, right? Be sure to check it out and take some time to watch some auctions and get a feel for how it works and see all the fantastic items sellers have to offer. Just be prepared, there's likely to be something you've just got to have!
