Start Something New this year with a book from DK Canada & SAVE 30%! {For a Limited Time Only!}

If you didn't know it already, let me tell you now, I LOVE books from DK Canada! Plus, not only are their books fantastic but so are their sales! If you love books and great prices be sure to check out The DK Start Something New Boutique.

The start of a new year inspires most of us to start fresh, make plans and maybe even learn something new. Well, DK Canada is there to help you accomplish some of the goals you may have for this year. They are currently offering great prices on books to help you start something new. Maybe you want to lose weight and get fit. Perhaps you are looking at improving your culinary skills or learn how to knit. Here are a few examples of the books you'll find in the Start Something New Boutique.

I made myself a promise this year to lose weight, get fit and feel better. Starting off can be difficult (I'm horribly out of shape). Energizing Workout is specially designed to give you a well rounded workout in 15 minutes. Between blogging, housework, homeschooling, and babysitting, I don't have much time to spend on exercise. But 15 minutes? I can handle that! This book includes 12 15-minute workouts you can do at home. It also features a DVD that includes 6 of these workouts. I did the Aerobics workout this morning and it was great! Enough of a workout to get my heart pumping and the sweat flowing but not so difficult that I thought I would pass out halfway through. Workouts in this book include stretching, boxing, running, salsa, jazz, and more.

If you are a budding artist but need some help, the Complete Painting and Drawing Handbook is just what you need. Although not designed for children, my 9 year old daughter loves this book. She's been busy recreating a number of drawings and paintings already. This book teaches the novice artist the basics on Drawing, Watercolours, Acrylics, and Oil Painting.  There are 48 projects in total. Each project tells you exactly what equipment you will need such as brush sizes and paint colours as well as which techniques will be used. It then provides step by step instructions on how to complete your drawing or paining. I love art, and I'm really looking forward to trying out some of these projects.

Another thing I've been really wanting to start doing is baking our own bread at home. And it just so happens that DK Canada has a book for that too! Step-by-Step Bread includes 200 recipes. From Classic and Quick breads to Artisan breads and Flat breads. Baking is such a great project to do with the kids and my kids are so excited to get started! The Pane di patate looks really yummy, made with mashed potatoes and chives, it has a soft crust with a moist center. I also want to to try the Green Olive and Rosemary Ciabatta bread, Soft Pretzels, Tortillas, Buttermilk Biscuits and Swedish Pancake Stack Cake. Oh yum! There are too many to mention. If you want to learn to bake bread, this is the book for you!

Last but not least, if you love to knit and are looking for some amazing projects to work on you absolutely need Classic Knits.  With more than 100 beautiful projects, your knitting needles will be going nonstop! I must admit that as beginner it will be a while before I'll be able to tackle many of the more complicated projects. I love that each project has a difficulty rating so I know which ones to start with. Each project also tells you the finished size, yarn needed, needles to be used, etc. The last section of the book includes all the info you need if you are new to knitting like me. From making a simple slip knot and how to hold your yard to the many different techniques required to complete any project.  I'm really excited about this book.

So what new projects are you planning on starting this year. There are 52 books available in The DK Start Something New Boutique. Which one would you love to have. Go now and check it out!
